two looks from my rough draft; first of two children's wear concepts; the final illustrations will be put on presentation board for our critique with the women from lily pulitzer next wednesday. I'm super nervous! these will be meticulously re-drawn and rendered and then one garment will be chosen out of the two concepts. the cargo pockets on the pants and bolero will be studded and rendered in the final drawings with metallic marker.

also, every sophomore in the fashion department was required to submit a boot design to LL Bean back in september, and apparently mine got 6th place..? pretty awesome considering I didn't even expect to get anything out of it!

So the spring semester has begun, and I'm honestly not going to be as stressed as I thought. We got our concept for children's wear - Safari..? Ew, but whatever. I'll come up with something good. We need 5 illustrated looks and one final piece for the fashion show, so we'll see how things work out.

I am obsessed with my computer/print class. My teacher is amazing, and her designs decorated Laura Bush's bedroom in the White House. Pretty awesome.

Check back with me in a week, I'm sure I'll be ripping my hair out. :)

Well, its finally here - the beginning of the spring semester. Wednesday I will be back in school full time and I don't know how I feel about it; I am totally dreading the hours of work I'll be doing, but come may 15th, I'll be heading to Florida for a few days.. so I have something to look forward too. I feel like summer is so close, even though we haven't even gotten past February yet. Just the idea of warm weather gives me butterflies.
